Transforming Church Street

Augarde & Partners, in partnership with Mount Anvil, carried out field engagement and research with stakeholders and potential partners for an estate transformation project for Westminster City Council. Out proposals focus on maximising community engagement and social value in the Church Street area.

To ensure our approach was  fully inclusive, Augarde and Partners enlisted the services of Root ‘n’ Branch, a renowned organisation specialising in community development and engagement. With extensive experience and relationships in the Church Street area, Root ‘n’ Branch supported us to deliver an authentic engagement plan, enriching the overall social value strategy.

Alongside initiatives over the next five years to support employment and business growth, address health inequalities, tackle isolation and social exclusion and provide more activities for young people, we have helped Mount Anvil design a model to provide long term funding for community based projects in perpetuity and permanent activation of ground floor properties aligned to local needs.
