Old Oak & Park Royal Development Corporation Loan Fund

Augarde & Partners worked closely with OPDC to create the framework for a Loan Fund to support affordable workspace and SMEs at risk of displacement because of development and values.. In conducting this work, we undertook a forensic examination of other loan funds across London and engaged with the local business community to understand the local needs. We proposed the terms of investment, returns, risks and key criteria. We worked closely with the potential beneficiaries in the local area (operator and the creative industries) to understand their business models and their specific investment needs. We also undertook research to understand how the fund could be scaled and the debt model could be utilised to attract inward investment.

We have been recently recommissioned by the OPDC to assess the business viability of the organisations applying for Loan funding and to evaluate the effectiveness of the Fund.
