Governance Review for the South Kilburn Trust
Working in partnership with regular collaborator PRD, Augarde & Partners was commissioned to deliver a review of South Kilburn Trust’s (SKT) operating model.
SKT was established in 2009, as a delivery vehicle for New Deal for Communities funding. Since then, it has increased considerably in size and ambition, including a move in 2018 to the refurbished Granville Centre, which it manages on a leasehold agreement with the London Borough of Brent. As part of the Carlton and Granville development project in Brent, the South Kilburn Trust will take on increased responsibilities and asset holdings.
Through close engagement with local stakeholders, strategic partners and people within the organisation, the team conducted a thorough operational review of SKT’s governance and asset strategy. The final report set out both high level recommendations and a detailed governance action plan to ensure that the Trust has the most appropriate structure, partnerships and identity to maximise the voice of the local community within a rapidly changing neighbourhood.
