Broadworks – Eastern City BID

Augarde & Partners delivered an impact report for Broadworks, an Eastern City BID and Landsec initiative delivered by Hive Curates to activate vacant retail units at 55 Old Broad Street. Launched in September 2023, Broadworks transformed the space into affordable artist studios, a gallery, and a cultural hub hosting events like music nights, bookbinding classes, and yoga. 

Our impact report captured the success of Broadworks 18-month into its lifespan. The findings highlight not only outputs such as increased footfall, cultural sector demand and audience diversity, but also the viability of creative workspace and evidence of how cultural activation such as Broadworks can help reshape perceptions of the City for businesses, workers and visitors alike.
