Circular economy hubs in Hackney Wick & Fish Island

Augarde & Partners supported the Hackney Wick and Fish Island Community Development Trust establishing a cluster of circular economy hubs and spaces in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park area. We have been working with the GLA, LLDC and the East Bank Partners, the local authorities of Newham, Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest, and the waste authorities to develop a plan to realise a new vision for the local economy, creative practice and inclusive growth. Working with the CDT to secure funding for the pilot phase and set the strategy, a number of projects are now live or in development, including;

- A Textile Reuse Hub on Fish Island has been launched

- The Loop, a temporary site at 119 Wallis Road is in its first iteration and will host a cluster of businesses working on the circular economy
