Alex & Paul are attending Placemaking Week Europe

Alex & Paul are in Strasbourg attending Placemaking Week Europe - Creating Better Cities Together to engage with and learn from colleagues and projects across Europe.

Paul is facilitating a session today - Civic Engagement for Changing Cities - with a great panel.

In this interactive session, our multinational team invites you to explore the intricate interplay between fast and slow civic engagement. Through six provocations and breakout sessions, the workshop will investigate how to combine rapid response and intentional, enduring efforts to shape evolving places.

Guided by our team, participants will share lessons from challenges and triumphs around the globe. We’ll focus on adapting traditional and modern democratic tools for maximum sustainable impact, and attendees will come away with actionable insights on issues like crisis vs. change thinking; sustaining momentum; citizen skills; and long-term funding.

Our team combines local government, consulting and non-profit perspectives, and will bring lessons from cities including innovators like Amsterdam, resilient like Ukraine’s city network, and embattled giants like London. We can’t wait to hear your stories and to learn from each other!

If you’re in Strasbourg too - get in touch with us! Email Alex, or email Paul
