Old Oak & Park Royal Development Corporation

Working alongside Architecture 00, Augarde & Partners established the business case and implementation model for a new social-orientated property legacy vehicle to secure the pipeline of assets coming through the planning system and created the framework and the implementation plan for a loan fund to support affordable workspace and SMEs at risk of displacement because of development and values. A&P supported A00 to establish a framework for affordable workspace and a network of providers, and mechanisms to support the network in the area.

Augarde & Partners are independent business plan assessors to the OPDC Loan Fund launched in 2023. Our role is to review the strength of the business plans submitted by applicants (workspace providers, creative and food and drink wholesale businesses in the Park Royal area). We review whether the business plan is realistic, affordable and provides the level of return in terms of social impact that fits the criteria. We work with businesses to strengthen as required to ensure bids are as strong as they can be. Ultimately, we help to secure more workspace and capacity for SMEs in the Park Royal area.
